Aquatic Training Courses
We will offer a variety of American Red Cross Health & Safety
Courses through our Aquatics program. All of the classes are taught by Authorized
Instructors and we adhere to all American Red Cross training guidelines.
CPR for the Professional Rescuer
This course covers recognizing and caring for breathing emergencies,
cardiac emergencies, two rescuer CPR, use of a BVM and AED. This course is equivalent
to the American Heart Association’s CPR Level C. This class is for public safety
personnel, athletic trainers, lifeguards, emergency response teams, training academy
participants and health care professionals. Valid for 1 year.
Age: Must be 15 years old.
Course length:8 hours (8am-5pm)
Certificates Issued: CPR for the Professional Rescuer and AED (Valid
1 year)
Course Dates: Dec. 6, Jan. 10, Feb. 7, Mar.7.

Safety Training For Swim Coaches
This course provides safety training for swim team coaches and
aquatic athletic trainers. This course is the full 8 hour training, no review or
fast track options. Valid for three (3) years.

Adult, Child, Infant CPR with First Aid
This course provides training for anyone who is interested in
learning CPR for emergency situations, whether you are a care taker, baby sitter
or just a regular patron this class is great to take for everyone.

LIFEGUARD TRAINING
The course content and activities prepare candidates to recognize
and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, and prevent drowning and injuries.
Successful course completion requires full participation in classroom and skill sessions,
as well as successful performance in skill and knowledge evaluations.
Prerequisites:
- Swim 300 yards continuously (12 laps) (100 yds. front crawl, 100 yds. Breaststroke,
100 yds. choice or combination of front crawl/breaststroke).
- Swim 20 yards using front crawl/breaststroke, surface dive to a depth of 9 feet,
retrieve a 10-pound object and return to the surface and swim 20 yards back to
the starting point with the object in about 100 seconds.
Age: Must be 15 years old.
Course length: 30 hours
Certificates Issued: Lifeguard Training and First Aid (valid 3 years);
CPR for the Professional Rescuer (valid 1 year)

WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR
Successful completion of this course, featuring 2004 new program
material, will certify you to teach all levels of American Red Cross progressive
swimming courses. Included in this course is American Red Cross Fundamentals of Instructor
Training (FIT). You must attend and successfully complete all class sessions to obtain
certification
Prerequisites:
- Must be 16 years old
- Must know how to properly front crawl, back crawl, elementary backstroke, sidestroke,
breaststroke and butterfly.
- Must be able to tread water and float on the back for 1 minute each.
Age: Must be 16 years old.
Course length: 35 hours.
Certificates Issued: Water Safety Instructor Certificate;
Fundamentals
of Instructor Training (valid 1 year)

Note to all participants: Participants must attend all dates.
Please bring a swim suit (one piece for girls and swim trunks for boys), towel , pen
and paper, and a change of dry clothing to all classes.
There is also a No Refund policy so please speak to someone if you have questions before you
enroll. Inability to pass a course does not grant a refund.
