Neighborhood Meetings in August

Fontana, California, July 31, 2008. The Mayor and City Council invite the public to the quarterly neighborhood meetings to be held in August. Area 2, for residents near Walnut Village meet Wednesday, August 13 at 6:30 pm at the Wayne Ruble Middle School, located at 6762 Juniper Avenue. Area 3, for residents who reside in the CORE meet on Tuesday, August 19 at 6:30 pm at the First Baptist Church, located at 17244 Randall Avenue. Area 2 West, for residents residing in or near the Village of Heritage meet Thursday, August 21 at 6:30 pm the Heritage neighborhood center, located at 7350 W. Liberty Parkway.

The City of Fontana has been meeting with the public at local neighborhood meetings for nearly 7 years. Each meeting is open to the public and gives residents an opportunity to receive first-hand information from the Police Department, city council, or city staff concerning a variety of topics. Discussions usually cover area crime statistics, upcoming events, construction projects as well as a question and answer period where the community openly discusses ways to collectively improve area issues.
