Dance
classes for all ages and abilities

Fontana,
California, August 12, 2008. The Mayor and City Council invite the public to register for a variety of dance
classes for all ages, abilities, and interests. Classes are offered at Heritage Neighborhood Center, located at 7350
West Liberty Parkway, Don Day Neighborhood Center located at 14501 Live Oak Avenue, Jack Bulik Teen Center, located
at 16581 Filbert Street, and Cypress Neighborhood Center located at 8380 Cypress Avenue.

Youth classes:
- Hip Hop for ages 6 to 10 on Mondays from 3:30 to 4:30 pm and ages 10 and older from 4:30 to 5:30 pm for $25 for
4 weeks begins August 25.
- Contemporary/Modern Dance for ages 11 to 25 on Mondays from 7 to 8:30 pm for $35 for 4 weeks beginning August
25.
- Polynesian dance for $25 for 4 weeks on Tuesdays from 5:30 to 6:30 pm for ages 4 to 11 and from 6:30 to 7:30 pm
for ages 12 and older begins August 26.
- Little Prince and Princess Ballet for $25 for 4 weeks is offered on Wednesdays for ages 3 to 7 from 3:15 to 4:15
pm beginning August 27.
- Musical Inspired Dance is $30 for 4 weeks for ages 6 to 12 from 4:30 to 5:30 pm beginning August 27.
- Ballet/Tap/Jazz Pre-Dance for $30 for 4 weeks for ages 3 to 6 on Thursdays from 4 to 5 pm begins August 28. Level
II is available for ages 7 and older on Thursdays from 5 to 6 pm also for the same price. Adult classes:
- Movin' and Goovin’ is $30 for 4 weeks for ages 18 and older on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10 to 11
am begins August 25.
- Latin Dance Salsa/Cha-Cha and Merengue for $30 for 4 weeks is for adults on Fridays from 7:15 to 8:45 pm beginning
August 29.

Youth classes:
- Mexican Folk Dance is $25 per class for ages 5 and older on Mondays from 5:30 to 6:45 pm for beginners, 6:30 to
7:45 pm for intermediate, and 7:30 to 8:45 pm for advanced dancers. Classes begin August 25 and are taught by award
winning dancers.
- Dance, Dance, Dance is Tuesdays beginning August 26. The classes are $35 for 4 weeks for pre-dance ages 3 to 5
from 3 to 4 pm and beginners ages 5 to 9 from 4 to 5 pm. For intermediate dancers ages 10 to 20 from 5 to 8 pm for
$45 for 4 weeks.
- Hip Hop for ages 8 and up is offered on Thursdays from 6:15 to 7:15 pm for $30 for 4 weeks beginning August 28.
The class meets at Oak Park Elementary, located at 14200 Live Oak Avenue. Pre-registration required.
- Salsa for ages 10 and older is available for $36 for 4 weeks beginning Thursday, August 28 from 6:15 to 7:15 pm.
- Middle Eastern/Belly Dance for $30 for 7 weeks is available for ages 16 and older on Thursdays from 7:20 to 8:40
pm beginning August 28.

- Middle Eastern/Tribal Belly Dancing is offered for advanced dancers ages 10 and older on Mondays from 7:30 to
9 pm beginning August 25. Beginner classes are also offered on Wednesdays from 7 to 8:30 pm beginning August 27.
Classes are $25 for 4 weeks.
- Mexican Folk Dance is $18.75 per class for ages 5 and older on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 to 6:55 pm for beginners
7 to 7:55 pm for intermediate and 8 to 8:55 pm for advanced dancers beginning August 25. The class is taught by award
winning dancers.
- Let’s Dance Pre-Intermediate is offered on Saturdays for $30 for 4 weeks for ages 3 to 4 from 8:05 to 9 am, ages
5 to 7 from 9:05 to 10 am, ages 8 to 14 from 10:05 to 11 am, and ages 9 to 18 from 11:05 am to 1 pm. Classes begin

- Cheer Classes are $25 for 4 weeks on Saturdays. Ages 4 to 7 meet from 10 am to 12 pm and ages 8 to 17 meet from
12 to 2 pm. Classes begin September 6.
