Register
for E-news from Community Services
Release Date: August 4, 2008
Fontana,
California, August 4, 2008. The Mayor and City Council invite the public to register for the new Community
Connection e-news from cultural arts, sports, Healthy Fontana, KFON, and neighborhood centers. Residents may
easily sign-up by clicking the registration area in the Community Conncection section at www.fontana.org.
The Community Connection e-newsletter is expanding its service. E-notices are now available for almost instant
notification about programs and services of interest to any citizen.
Anyone interested in Art in the Park, Family Art Days, artists of the quarter, show times and upcoming performances
at the Center Stage Theater, or upcoming acts at the Steelworker’s Auditorium should request updates from Cultural
Arts.
Families or adults involved in the youth or adult league sports may now find out straight from the sports program
about upcoming registrations, camps, or other events. The same is true with local neighborhood centers.
Some programs offer newsletters. The Nature Center and Healthy Fontana are two examples that offer regularly
published newsletters covering a variety of topics relating to the ecosystem or health and wellness. Registering
for the e-notice for one, the other, or both will guarantee a regular newsletter update in addition to special
event notices.
Those interested should visit www.fontana.org, select the Community Connection newsletter, type their e-mail
address and then make their selections. Options are also available to receive notices concerning Council, Planning,
or Commission meetings, and register for the monthly Community Connection e-newsletter.
