Fontana
youth take to the stage

Fontana,
California, August 12, 2008. The Mayor and City Council invite parents and caregivers
of attention-loving youth ages 4 to 17 to register for upcoming theater classes offered
at the Heritage Neighborhood Center located at 7350 West Liberty Parkway and Don Day
Neighborhood Center, located at 14501 Live Oak Avenue.
Beginning August 26, the Heritage Neighborhood Center offers Lights, Camera
Action a class for youth ages 6 to 9 interested in working in the entertainment
industry. The class is Tuesdays from 6 to 7 pm and from 7 to 8 pm for ages 10 to 17 for
$50 for 4 weeks. Tiny Tots Theater, an introduction to live
performances and acting techniques, for ages 4 to 7 is offered from 4:30 to 5:15 pm on
Tuesdays for $30 for 4 weeks.
The Don Day Neighborhood Center offers Theater Adventures, an
exploration of creative learning through theater games and acting, for ages 4 to 6 is
$45 for 8 weeks on Fridays from 6:15 to 6:45 pm beginning August 29. Theater
Workshop, a high energy class designed to encourage young acting and musical
theater students, is also available for ages 7 to 13 on Fridays from 6:45 to 7:30 pm
for $50 for 8 weeks beginning August 29. An informal showcase is given on the last day
of class.
