Road Closures/Detours

• I-10/CYPRESS AVENUE OVERCROSSING: Please be advised of the following closures to be in effect in conjunction with the I-10/Cypress Overcrossing Project.
  
  Concrete pouring is scheduled to take place on the Cypress Avenue Bridge which will require some freeway lane and ramp closures:
  
  Wednesday, March 10, 2010
  Westbound:
  
  • The I-10 Westbound auxiliary lane between Sierra Avenue and Citrus Avenue will be closed from 6:00 am until 6:00 pm.
  Eastbound:
  
  • The I-10 Eastbound auxiliary lane between Citrus Avenue and Sierra Avenue will be closed from 4:00 am until 6:00 pm.
  • Citrus Avenue On- Ramp will be closed from 4:00 am until 6:00 pm. The detour for the on ramp will be as follows: Take Citrus Avenue south to Slover Avenue. East on Slover Avenue to Sierra Avenue. North on Sierra Avenue to the Sierra Eastbound On-ramp. (See detour map below)
  
  
• I-10/CYPRESS AVENUE OVERCROSSING: Please be advised of the following closures to be in effect in conjunction with the I-10/Cypress Overcrossing Project.
  Local Streets:

  BOYLE AVE – Road Closure: Please be advised that effective immediately, Boyle Avenue will be closed at Cypress Avenue to facilitate utility work. A posted detour route using Juniper Ave. or Oleander Ave. will guide motorists through the area. Cypress Ave. between Slover Ave. and Boyle Ave. will remain open to local residents only. Boyle Avenue will remain permanently closed at Cypress Avenue as part of the Cypress Avenue at Interstate 10 Overcrossing project. Caution should be used when traveling through this area.

• Sierra Avenue - Ceres Avenue to Merrill Avenue – Please be advised that R.D. Raney Construction will be replacing curb, gutter and sidewalk on Sierra Ave. southbound Monday, March 1st - 12th, 2010. Expect travel delays, use alternate route when possible.

• West Liberty Parkway Closure – Miller Avenue and McKinley Drive – Please be advised that West Liberty Parkway between Miller Avenue and McKinley Drive will be closed to through traffic on Wednesday, March 3 to facilitate the installation of a reclaimed water pipeline. There will be a posted detour route using the surrounding streets. Construction will occur between the hours of 8AM and 4PM. Expect traffic delays; use alternate routes when possible.

• Foothill Boulevard – East Avenue to Cherry Avenue & Citrus Avenue to Oleander Avenue: Please be advised that to facilitate the installation of a raised median between East Avenue and Cottonwood Avenue and installation of landscaping in the existing median between Cottonwood Avenue and Cherry Avenue, travel lanes on Foothill Boulevard will be reduced to two lanes each direction during construction. Construction will commence on September 9, 2009 and continue through June, 2010. Motorists are advised to travel through the work zone area with caution and to use alternate routes when possible.

• Baseline Avenue - Citrus Avenue to Sierra Avenue: Please be advised that the contractor will be performing final paving operations which will facilitate preparation for the ultimate pavement striping. Paving will continue through the week, with completion on February 19, 2010. Expect travel delays, use alternate route when possible.

• Slover Avenue at Live Oak Avenue: Please be advised that U.P.R.R. has completed their work and the City is working with them to test the signal pre-emption system at this time. Travel through this area with caution.
